We want to thank everyone who has helped support the school through a donation to the Annual Fund so far.
While this year has become very different from any other year we have known, you have helped us achieve some amazing things already. Our community really comes together to make this school such a special place and that has been more and more evident each day.
Below are some updates on key areas that have been supported so far this year and a little bit of what is still to come.
The Loggia
With a generous leadership donation from Trafalgar parent, Karen Gordon, and many others who supported this year’s Head of School Initiative, we will be able to replace the windows in the Loggia this summer and use the space throughout the winter.
Thank you to all donors for making this possible! And thank you to Grace W., Class of 2020 and Sarah S., Class of 2020 for their beautiful work to bring this space to life.
World of Difference
We have recently reimagined this scholarship to support a girl in our local community who aspires to make a World of Difference. With your donations to this fund we have raised enough money to continue to award this to a promising young student with demonstrated need for financial support throughout her high school career. We are in the process of selecting our next recipient and are so grateful to everyone who has helped make this possible. Thank you!
Academics, Arts, Athletics, Robotics
With your support of these other areas within the school we had booked some incredible guest speakers, planned hands-on workshops and purchased new equipment for various departments including:
- A full-day writing workshop for all students and teachers;
- A photography workshop for Upper School Arts students;
- The purchase of pickleball equipment for phys-ed (all levels); and
- 12 new Spheros Robots to be integrated into STEAM learning in the Lower School.
These are all things that have been supported by donations to the Annual Fund and will greatly enhance the girls’ Trafalgar experience next year. Thank you!
The year is not over yet so we will continue to raise money for our Annual Fund through to the end of June with a focus on Financial Aid to help provide tuition relief to some of our families who have struggled through this pandemic.
Due to the fact that this is an urgent need, the school leadership (Head of School and Board of Directors) have decided through personal gifts of their own to match all donations to this Emergency Financial Aid Fund made prior to June 30, 2020, up to $25,000.
We are so grateful to see our Trafalgar community pulling together during this time. We will be sending more information in the weeks ahead about our special one-time appeal for Emergency Financial Aid to help keep our Trafalgar family together.
