April 30 to May 6 marked International Youth Week and the Town of Whitby and Whitby Youth Council in partnership with the Station Gallery presented the fourth annual Art Attack event. Art Attack gives Whitby youth ages 12-18 the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents.
Forty Trafalgar students in Grades 7 to 12 sent over 75 pieces for the Art Attack event which were showcased at the Station Gallery. On May 3 there was a reception that recognized all of the student contributions to the exhibition. Mrs. Welbourn shares, “What a fun night it was to see so many Trafalgar Art students and parents at the Art Attack Event at the Station Gallery.”
During the Art Attack reception, Trafalgar artists were given a special mention in the opening remarks for the quality and variety of their pieces.  “They should all feel very proud of their work and the way that they represented Trafalgar at the event,” says Mrs. Welbourn.
Congratulations to all of the students who participated and submitted their pieces for this community exhibition.
