Dance Pac attends Strive

On April 18, Trafalgar’s Dance Pac travelled to the Milton Centre Centre for the Arts as they competed in the Strive Dance Challenge.

Selena L, one of the Dance Pac leaders shares, “The girls were very excited, as it was, for many of them, their very first dance competition.” Isabella S., a Grade 6 student and Dance Pac member echoes this excitement sharing, “Dance Pac at the school gives me the opportunity to get back into dance. I love to dance because of how fun it is and I get closer with friends.”

Strive Dance Challenge welcomes dancers from dance studios as well as from schools and post-secondary institutions which means there is a vast range of talent.  As such, at the competition, the group were able to learn from the other teams who attended as many of the dancers were clearly well trained and artistically inclined.  “We were able to receive lots of useful feedback that we can apply to improve our dance skills in the future,” says Selena.

The group had spent months choreographing, rehearsing and tailoring the dance routines to the ability of each dancer.  Daraugh B. and Sarah D., two of the other Dance Pack leaders share that they are beyond proud of what the group accomplished.  Selena adds, “I am excited to see them continue to grow as dancers.”

Congratulations to all of the students who participated in the competition! We can’t wait to see Dance Pac continue to improve and grow at Trafalgar.
