For the past five years Trafalgar has donated poinsettias to the New Life Neighbourhood Centre (Neighbourhood Centre) in Oshawa for their Christmas events. The poinsettias are purchased by parents, staff and community members through the Parents’ Guild annual poinsettia fundraiser.
Ann Thompson, Director of the Neighbourhood Centre shares the importance of donations throughout the year, but especially over the holiday season. “Volunteers, donors and supporters the Neighbourhood Centre could not do it without you.”
The Neighbourhood Centre is a registered food bank and supports families with food and hygiene packages, hosts meals and provides other services for those in need. The poinsettias donated by Trafalgar decorate the halls at the centre and families can take one after the Christmas dinner to help decorate their home for the holiday season!
