In 1939 Kathleen (Gordon) Preston came to Trafalgar Castle School, then known as Ontario Ladies’ College. Her grandson Drew recently came across Trafalgar’s online yearbooks and shared with her the Vox Collegi 1939 when Kathleen was a Junior.
Drew emailed us to share that Kathleen holds many memories from her time at Ontario Ladies’ College including her father coming to see her for a visit and being frightened about taking piano lessons because the piano room was on one of the top floors of the Castle. “She also reminisced about her teachers and the students,” Drew said. “And she knew the names of most of the girls in the photo I shared.”
Kathleen will turn 99 this April and recently received her COVID vaccination. Her family is hopeful this will help her make it to 100 and beyond! When Drew told his nana he was going to reach out to share the memories they had spoken about she was hesitant, but we are so glad that he did! We are always happy to hear from our alumna, especially one that still holds such fond memories of Trafalgar Castle School.
