Weekends are a time to relax and spend time with friends. Organized activities provide students with a variety of opportunities, such as catching a baseball game, visiting a museum, attending a concert or dining out in Toronto’s historic Distillery District.
Our Boarder Buddy program pairs boarders with day students, allowing friendships to blossom. Boarders may spend a weekend off campus in their Boarder Buddy’s home, experiencing authentic family life in Canada.
In 2018-2019 there are five Long Weekends when the boarding residence is closed.
Boarders stay with local guardians, family or friends or opt to participate in our Long Weekend program with supervised trips to Ottawa (October 5-8), Montreal (November 9-12), Quebec City (February 15-19), New York City (April 19-22) and Niagara Falls (May 17-20) organized by the school. This program provides students a wonderful way to learn more about North American culture.
Boarding closes for Winter Break on Friday, December 21, 2018 and reopens on Monday, January 7, 2019.
The boarding residence will be closed from Thursday, March 7, 2019 and will welcome boarders back on Monday, March 25, 2019. This year students in Grades 8 to 12 have the option to participate in the Trafalgar Service Trip to Costa Rica. More information to come.
