Head of School Initiatives – If you know our Head of School you know she has lots of ideas and lots of initiative. When selecting something for the Annual Fund, she likes to pick something that benefits as many girls as possible, supports our strategic plan and has a lasting impact. The 2019-2020 Head of School Initiative and top priority for our Annual Fund is the Loggia Winterization. The Loggia was created by students for students and winterizing it will mean that this light-filled area for girls of all grades to gather, relax, or do homework will be available all year long. Ever since the newly decorated Loggia was revealed this September by its ‘founders’ (Grade 12 students Grace W. and Sarah S.) it has been so well used and loved by the girls. It has already fostered a beautiful sense of community and given the girls an inspiring space of their own. Now, they just need to be able to use it through the winter months! That’s where your support comes in.
Academics – The strength of our academic program is furthered by the generosity of our community. Designated gifts allow us to improve classroom spaces and provide teachers with everything they need to bring innovation and enrichment to students.
Athletics – We may be small, but Trafalgar’s spirit is strong. Support for our Athletics program allows for the purchase of new equipment, expert coaching workshops and other enhancements. Go Dragons!
Arts at Trafalgar – Music, drama, visual arts and dance are alive and well at the Castle – inside the classroom and out. Gifts can be directed to the Arts in general, or to specific areas of interest.
Boarding Life Enhancements – The Castle is home to 80 girls from around the world. It’s their home away from home, and designated gifts to our Boarding Life program allow us to provide the little extras that make all the difference.
Bursaries – Providing financial support for girls who might otherwise not be able to attend Trafalgar Castle School, our bursary program reflects our community’s longstanding commitment to making our school inclusive and truly a part of the fabric of Whitby and Durham Region.
Robotics – Our history of success in robotics is thanks, in part, to the incredible support of our community. Each year, the Trafalgar team takes its tech prowess to the high seas for MATE (Marine Aquatic Technology Education) and join an exciting community of robotic enthusiasts from around the globe.
World of Difference – This innovative program supports a young girl whose leadership potential and desire to learn shines through, despite the adversity of her circumstances. Your support allows her to join us as a boarder for her Grade 11 and 12 years so that she is prepared for university studies. Your donation can make a world of difference in the life of a young girl.
