TASC December Update

Jessica Scheffee

The month of December was a fun time for the whole school community, full of friends, good food, and holiday cheer! One of the most looked forward to celebrations at the School is the Carol Service and Christmas Dinner, where the whole school community gathers to celebrate the holidays and the upcoming year with carols, delicious food, and holiday cheer. Guests enjoyed music performed by Mr. Smerdon’s clarinet quartet and violin section; as well as the newest section of the band community, conducted by Ms. Als, called the “Baby Band” a band full of incredible new musicians.

The Carol Service is a part of Trafalgars’ many Christmas traditions, and singing together as a community is looked forward to all year. This year we sang Silent Night, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, and recited a new carol together, Children Go Where I send Thee.

We were lucky enough to have a few alumnae join us at the School the last day before the break for the alumnae basketball game.  After the game, Grade 12 students Emma and Jamie were “jersey’d” out and are now officially a part of the alumnae team . The old and new TASC also performed for the school in the School’s annual competition.

This past month has been full of fun, friendship, and studies. There is no better way to let go of the passing year than being with friends and family, while celebrating each other, the holidays, and the incredible upcoming year!
