The student body were extremely busy here at the Castle during the month of November. On November 9th in Chapel, the school took a moment of silence to be grateful for those who fought for us in war and to remember those who lost their lives. Each grade, with the help of student council, created a wreath that was carried up one by one during chapel.
On November 18th, the students volunteered for a minimum of one hour to help out at our annual Castle Bazaar. TASC was in charge of the jar table for the day but that did not last long as all the jars nearly sold out within the first hour! The bazaar was a huge success and the Castle raised over $14,000 to donate to three local charities: Soper Creek Wildlife Rescue, The Animal Guardian Society, and Hearth Place children’s programs. All the money raised by the Parents’ Guild silent auction was donated to Trafalgar’s World Of Difference initiative and a portion of the money was kept by the school to fund the Trafalgar Youth Initiative. The winning charity for the Trafalgar Youth Initiative will be invited to the Castle where they will be presented with a cheque for their charity.
A lot of the girls were also busy preparing for House Plays starting with their audition, followed by a memorization test, and two weeks of late night rehearsals. Each of the four plays were unique which made watching these performances on November 27th even more enjoyable. The performances were amazing and each house should be proud of the effort they put in to create a fantastic show. TASC is looking forward to a great December!
